This little sweetheart was born just in time for Christmas! making her entrance to this world on December 20th 2016 to her very proud parents, Brandon & Jen Orr!
Seeing these two with their precious daughter was a very special experience, Something magical happens to a couple when they become parents for the first time, the amount of pure joy and love they share for little Lainey truly shows in the way they attentively look into her tiny little face and hold her with love when she needs comforting, the kind of love that could move mountains ❤ Lainey you have hit the jackpot on parents and I can not wait to see you grow and take on the world one little step at a time, with a loving family there to guide you through, you will accomplish great things and make this world a brighter place each day. { Lainey Elizabeth 1 month new } This passed weekend I had the pleasure of meeting up with another local photographer and her Boyfriend, Clayton.
We headed up to FlyHills area to explore and find some unique locations to do some couples lifestyle photos, well lets just say... This is one adventurous couple! ( which makes me super happy inside! LOVE photographing spontaneous couples! ) as we were heading up the narrow muddy road along the mountain side, it didn't take long before we hit snow along the road and it started to pour rain on us. So Carly the totally amazing owner/photographer of "She's a Gem Photography" decides to run up some old looking trails in her dress and HEELS in the mud and rain to see if there is any good locations, can you say dedicated? Clayton then says " yeah, she doesn't get to do this much" well honestly... as photographers ( I'm sure many of you out there can relate ) it can be so challenging and disheartening to get nice pictures with you're significant other and or family! finding the time around busy schedules and convincing you're significant other can be a hard task. I think that is one of the reasons I love Photographing couples so much! During our adventures Carly & Clayton really showed their love for each other, between the little kisses and the non stop smiles! I love couples that can be themselves and forget there is a camera near by and I can honestly say that is Carly & Clayton! I'll let the photos tell the rest <3 So when I got my Chihuahua Milly, I decided that I was going to do Christmas Photos of my Dogs each year.... Well it has proven to be quite a challenge! Tons of treats later I finally got a few but I must say Animal Bloopers are pretty funny and make it all worth it! Have you ever considered having christmas photos of your Dog or Cat taken? or Do you already? Here's a few from my morning with our own crazies :) Happy Holidays from our family to yours! Dexter & Milly
1. Be YOU. you're perfect just how you are! 2. Don't fall into what others think of you! We all come in different Shapes & Sizes there is nothing wrong with that. I have met very few people in my life that are actually happy with their bodies, everyone always seems to have something they dislike about themselves so next time you think you're ugly or fat or whatever it is you don't like, Just remember you're idea of perfect is imperfection to others. Everyone is naturally beautiful / handsome in their own way. 3. Learn to accept COMPLIMENTS, If someone compliments you it's because they feel you deserve it. It's one of those times you have to let go and just trust you're friends & family. Once you start accepting the { good job, you look good today, you're so smart, you're kind/thoughtful ect.. } You will lead a much happier life and more then likely have better relationships with the people that care about you. 4. Share you're Talents & arts with the world, everyone has a bit of a quirky / creative side that wants to get out so let it! Now it can be so many different things, But Humans are Beautiful creations an so are the things we can Accomplish / Create. Everyone has different taste but there will also always be someone that will appreciate the effort you make each day to help make this world a better more beautiful place to live in.
5. DREAM big, You never know what might happen! Miracles happen everyday an yours is out there waiting for you. On February 16, 2015 I got a phone call that my mom had a stroke and was in the hospital. It was by far the biggest shock of my life as to me my mom is way to young to be sick, Honestly it isn't something you think is going to happen to you're loved ones. All I could think about is how much she meant to me and that she had to be okay because she is my MOM the most Passionate, Loving, Kind, Selfless Woman I know. I consider myself lucky that She is a Survivor and that I get more time with her in my life. If there was a lesson in any of this for me it was never take life for granted and be thankful for every second you have with you're loved ones. Because She Still Looks Like A Rockstar Even In The Hospital.
